WE CONQUERED MOUNTAIN KINABALU

Back in March 19, 2011 me and my younger sister, niece, nephew also Brother In Law started our journey to conquer Mountain Kinabalu. As I have blogged before, it was actually an unplanned mission. However it turned to a great experience and memories.

All are the stories about Mountain Kinabalu. For more story about Mountain Kinabalu, you can visit my another blog here --- > Part 1 and Part 2

If you are planning to climb Mount Kinabalu, here are some advice :

Attire (Going up to Laban Rata)

  1. Light shirt
  2. long/short pants (depends on your body)
  3. Shoes (instead of slipper due to weather and the terrain)
  4. shock (to avoid blistered)
MUST BRING
  1. Water in a bottle (1 should be enough because a lot of water supply along the way up)
  2. Chocolate Bar (advisable Snickers) to boost your energy
  3. Rain Coat (bring at least 2 - in case your rain coat torn) it always rain !
  4. Glove (it's very cold up there)
  5. Shock (bring the thick one)
  6. Sweater (it's COLD! I tell you)
  7.  Head Torch Light (need to wear when you climbing up to the Peak at 2 a.m)
  8. Maggie in Cup (easy to make)
  9. 3-in-1 drinks (you'll need this especially when you're too lazy to go the damn expensive restaurant down there)
  10. Few changing clothes (you might get wet anytime especially when it rain)
  11. Panadol/Axe oil/Deep heating cream etc
Make sure you din't bring too heavy items to go up there. Otherwise, you'll regret it. Bring the important stuff only.

Please never forget to go jogging before you climb. Less stamina doesn't mean you cannot get up there, but without stamina you'll feel DAMN tired.

Until next post... Good luck!

INTRAMUROS, MANILA

Entering the 'Intramuros City' - The city in Manila City - makes me feel like I am in another world. It's totally different with Manila City.

"Intramuros is the oldest district of the present day city of Manila, the capital of the Republic of the Philippines. Nicknamed the "Walled City", Intramuros is the historic fortified city of Manila during the Spanish Colonial Period. Located then along Manila Bay and south of the mouth of Pasig River, its thick defensive walls were built by the Spaniards in the 16th century to protect the city from invasion. Its name in Spanish, intramuros, literally "within the walls", meaning a city enclosed by thick, high walls and surrounded by moats.[2]" - Source: Wikipedia
